China: Non-residential PV pipeline hits 16 GW

According to new research released, China’s non-residential photovoltaic pipeline is standing at 16 gigawatts (GW). In 2011, the country’s newly installed capacity is expected to reach over 1.8 GW. The building mount sector is also projected to grow.

BTU International Inc. which, among other products, produces thermal processing equipment for solar cells, has experienced a weak third quarter Q3 2011. The results were said to have been primarily affected by the weak solar market. It has also announced staff layoffs.
