The Italian National Guidelines for the Autorizzazione Unica – the centralized procedure for the authorization of photovoltaics (PV) systems – have been readmitted to the political agenda, according to PV Legal.

On Semiconductor Corporation and Sanyo Electric Co., Ltd. have signed a definitive purchase agreement providing for the acquisition of Sanyo Semiconductor Co., Ltd. and other assets related to Sanyo Electric’s semiconductor business, by On Semiconductor in a cash and stock transaction. The purchase price is around USD$366 million (¥33.0 billion).

The Canadian partner is Evergreen Power Ltd.

Canasia Solar Corp. is to install a solar module manufacturing facility in the London, Ontario region in Canada. The plant will initially have a 50 megawatt (MW) per annum capacity and will expand to a total build-out of 200 MW.
