Montel Analytics says that solar production reached a record high in Europe during the third quarter of 2024. However, the company warns that rising solar and wind production, coupled with a lack of demand-side response, has led to an increase in negative and zero day-ahead prices across the continent.

Pexapark, a Swiss-based provider of reference prices and market intelligence for renewable energy, says European developers signed 23 power purchase agreements (PPAs) totaling 1.03 GW in September. The total volume of PPAs across the first nine months of 2024 stands at 11.4 GW.

The Institute for Essential Services Reform says Indonesia’s solar industry has faced a downturn over the past two years, but policy reforms should accelerate solar deployment in the coming years. The think tank’s latest report states that 16.92 GW of projects are currently in the pipeline across the country.
