Hanergy deputy chairman resigns, founder blames short sellers for stock collapse

The founder of Hanergy Thin Film Li Hejun has blamed short sellers for the dramatic decline of his company’s share price. Li made the remarks at an event marking the anniversary of Hanergy’s founding. The company has also announced today that company deputy chairman Liu Min has resigned.

Heraeus adds No. 610 paste to Giga Sola lawsuit

German metallization paste supplier Heraeus has added the No. 610 Giga Solar paste to its patent infringement case. Previously pastes including No. 590, 590A and 600 were included in the lawsuit.

Swiss PECVD tool developer INDEOtec has sold one of its Octopus II PECVD tools to France’s IPVF (Institut Photovoltaique d’Ile-de-France). The Octopus II tool is a deposition platform for high efficiency PV cell production, such as HJT concepts.

Australia: groundbreaking solar array for offgrid mine commences operation

Polish perovskites attracts Japanese investor

Perovskite startup Saule Technologies has attracted investment for Japan’s Hideo Sawada, one year after the company launched. Saule is attempting to commercialize perovskite semiconductor on flexible PET substrates, which was developed by scientist Olga Malinkiewicz.
