Heating specialist Ideal Heating has launched a new series of monobloc air-source heat pumps.

“The Ecomod 290HT has been specifically designed for use in larger commercial buildings and can be used in cascade to achieve even higher outputs,” the manufacturer said in a statement. “It achieves high temperatures up to 75 C, whilst benefitting from an ultra-low global warming potential (GWP) of just three as a result of the use of R290 natural refrigerant.”

The new product is available in three versions with sizes of 15-18 kW, 27 kW, and 40-50 kW.

The smallest heat pump measures 1,110 mm x 510 mm x 1,447 mm and weighs 174 kg. Its heating capacity ranges from 15.84 kW to 18.77 kW and its seasonal coefficient of performance (SCOP) spans from 4.76 to 5.02. The coefficient of performance (COP) is 4.94 for 15 kW and 4.36 for 18 kW.

The middle-sized system has dimensions of 1,610 mm x 710 mm x 1,270 mm and a weight of 285 kg. Its heating capacity is 28 kW and its SCOP is 4.0. The COP reaches 4.54.

As for the largest product, its size is 1,895 mm x 1,110 mm x 1,980 mm and the weight is 535 kg. It offers a SCOP of 4.09 for 40 kW and 4.2 for 50 kW, while its COP ranges from 4.1 to 4.2 and the heating capacity is between 40.1 kW and 50 kW.

The manufacturer said all models come with a 5-year warranty and all represent the output at 7 C for air and 35 W for water.

“The heat pumps also include an inverter-controlled compressor to accurately match the heat demand based on the specific requirements, further enhancing the efficiency of a building,” it added. “Ecomod 290HT heat pumps are quiet in operation, with noise levels as low as 64dB(A).”
