DesignArc Co., Ltd., Osaka-based building materials supplier, has introduced its new Da Solar Carport, set for release in January. It is suitable for use in single-family homes, apartment complexes, commercial facilities, warehouses, factories, and medical care facilities.

The carport can accommodate solar modules from any manufacturer, available in various colors and shapes, offering developers flexibility to meet aesthetic requirements. Each unit measures 5,960 cm x 5,140 cm x 2,355 cm and can host up to 5.1 kW of solar panels.

DesignArc said the carport can be installed in fire prevention areas and semi-fire prevention areas by using a steel structure to meet fire resistance standards.

DesignArc is a subsidiary of Daiwa House Industry Co., Ltd., Japan's largest homebuilder, with a history of large-scale solar facility installations across Japan since 2000.

“The carport be installed in fire prevention areas and semi-fire prevention areas,” the manufacturer said, noting that it relies on steel for the structure, thus meeting fire resistance standards.

DesignArc is a unit of Daiwa House Industry Co., Ltd., which is Japan's largest homebuilder. The group installed its first 600 kW solar array in 2000. Ever since, it installed and operated numerous large-scale solar facilities across Japan.
