Informational site and solar calculator developer SolarReviews and the NABCEP have jointly released an inaugural report on solar installers. The nationwide solar industry survey involved nearly 500 participants. About 62% of them were residential and small commercial installers, 6% were commercial installers, 6% were O&M companies, and 4% were utility-scale installers.
Higher electricity prices were listed as the top reason customers are looking for solar, as 66% of the respondents said that prices are driving demand. In addition, 62% of respondents said that they expect the US Inflation Reduction Act to improve their business.
Notably, 61% of the respondents said pv magazine is their top solar industry news source. This makes pv magazine the No. 1 trade publication, followed by Solar Power World, state-level trade industry groups, and Solar Builder (19%).
In addition, 63% of the respondents listed solar industry conferences as their most trusted source of news, many of which cited pv magazine as featured media partner.
