After our jury picked the top five storage products for our pv magazine Energy Storage Highlights, we took the stage at Energy Storage Europe in Düsseldorf, to hand over the trophies and discuss the winning projects with the jurors. Company experts, from MAN ETES, Trina Solar, Vattenfall, Fenecon and ads-tec have used the opportunity to explain their new products, in front of an interested crowd.
This years winner ads-tec presented a battery based EV charging booster. The solution allows fast charging, even where the grid does not have the capacity to provide high power energy throughput. A battery that is charged when no vehicle is plugged into the system, provides the extra oomph. The jury was convinced that the convergence of storage and mobility shows the great potential of storage technologies and that the technology can help facilitate a faster EV adoption rate across Europe.
