The Agency for the safety of Air Navigation in Africa and Madagascar (ASECNA) has put forward a tender for the development of a solar PV power plant at the International Oumtounsy Airport in Nouakchott Islamic Republic of Mauritania in a bid to advance the modernization of its equipment in accordance with its policy on the preservation of the environment.
Candidates will be chosen according to the procedures of the regulation of the markets of any nature on behalf of ASECNA. The agency has invited potential candidates to show their interest or association for the performances of the services in the project.
Pre-selection for the realization of a photovoltaic solar power station on the Oumtounsy International Airport Nouakchott must done by Friday, 3rd of November 2017 at 10:00 local time at the Secretariat of the Director of Studies and Projects.
ASECNA reserves the right to not show interest in expressions of interest from interested parties, while candidates will stay bound by their expression of interest for at least 6 months. Interested developers must submit their bids by Nov. 3, 2017.
Mauritania has currently only one operational solar park, a 15 MW PV plant built by UAE-based developer Masdar in 2013. The AED 117.5 million (US$35.7 million) facility accounts for 10% of Mauritania‘s energy capacity.
