In interviews with high-quality and high-powered solar modules suppliers, pv magazine tracks down the optimized solar technologies, which are shifting sands in the European solar market.

Pointing to efficiency as the main driving force behind lowering LCOE, Pierre Verlinden of Trina Solar is speaking about the manufacturer’s wide range of products, as it managed to set new mono PERC efficiency record of more than 24 %.

Against the backdrop of the innovation introduced on the module level, Max Schurade of Hanwha Q Cells explains the advantages of the 72-cells reinforced steel frame module, which earned the Intersolar 2017 award, as well as some other of the company’s advanced solutions as its Quantum cell technology.

On the behalf of Jinko Solar, Andrea Viaro speaks about the role of modules in reducing installation costs, such as the one it has developed with Maxim based on integrated circuits, as well as mono PERC and half-cut cell module technology.

Discussing REC’s solar modules of the TwinPeak series, Cemil Seber outlines why the company is staying true to multi PERC technology.
