UK-based solar developer Anesco announced it has managed to complete 130 MW of PV projects in the UK ahead of the March 31 deadline for Renewable Obligations Certificates (ROCs).
The portfolio consists of 28 solar parks with an average size of 5 MW, spread across various sites in the UK. Including these projects, the company’s PV plant portfolio in the UK has increased to 480 MW. For all of the 101 PV plants included in the portfolio Anesco is providing operation and maintenance services.
“As the latest sites were completed ahead of the ROC deadline, we were able to secure the maximum yield for our customers, and will now be maintaining them to ensure they continue to operate effectively for the lifetime of the projects,” said Anesco executive chairman Steve Shine.
The company is also active in the storage business in the UK with 20 operational energy storage sites totaling 18.9 MW currently installed, an additional 65 MW under development, 185 MW to be entered into the capacity market in August, and a further pipeline of 100 MW.
