German solar PV and polysilicon equipment manufacturing specialists Centrotherm Photovoltaics has announced today the appointment of a new CEO and new COO as part of the firms management board reshuffle.
Jan von Schuckmann will assume the role as management board chairman and CEO as of October 1, and will be joined on the management board by Gunter Fauth, who has been appointed COO, replacing the outgoing Peter Augustin, who will step down from the board at the end of September by way of agreement.
Gunter Fauth has been with centrotherm since 2012, working for a while as interim manager of a subsidiary, and has been a general manager at centrotherm photovoltaics AG since August 2013. Fauth has 20 years of experience working in large corporate groups and extensive management in advising medium-sized firms.
"With the appointment of Gunter Fauth to our management board, we have installed a very good succession arrangement for Peter Augustin," remarked supervisory board chairman Robert M. Hartung. "This arrangement sends a strong signal of continuity to our employees."
Although Peter Augustin departs a COO post he has held since 2012, he will continue to assist the company in a consultative function on the semiconductor and microelectronics area.
