Energy generator and distributor Engie Energy Chile has signed an agreement with Solairedirect Chile for the two to jointly develop PV projects with a capacity of up to 400 MW located in northern and central Chile, following reports.
The agreed collaboration is for a term of one year and as part of the framework they will be able to establish one or more associations.
Engie and Solairedirect already collaborated together on a 83 MW PV project that was entered within the power auction last week in Chile. However, this project was not awarded within the tender.
On the other hand, the Engie group is active in the PV sector in Latin America. In Peru, it was awarded a 40 MW PV project in the tender that took place in February.
