JinkoSolar to supply 1 GW of solar panels to sPower

In one of the biggest deals of its kind, the U.S. IPP, headquartered in Salt Lake City, has contracted Chinese module manufacturer, JinkoSolar to supply it with 1 GW of solar PV panels.

SPower has also contracted Rosendin Renewable Energy Group to provide EPC services for its 2016 portfolio. The two deals will help it achieve its goal of adding 700 MW of clean energy to its portfolio, up from 500 MW in 2015, according to a statement released. No other details were shared. pv magazine has contacted the relevant parties for more details.

Last April, sPower secured $168 million debt finance for 144 MW of U.S. solar projects. A month prior to this, it purchased a 63.1 MW solar portfolio in North Carolina from developer FLS Energy.
