Inven Capital has not disclosed the amount that it has pumped into Sonnenbatterie GmbH. This new round of financing comes after the Czech utility ?EZ-owned investor already gave a "few hundred million" Czech Koruna a few days ago.

Sonnenbatterie has managed to double its sales every year since its founding in 2010, with approximately 8,000 sold storage units under its belt. The company will present its solutions for the US in July and new market expansions are projected to continue in 2016.

"Sonnenbatterie consistently focuses on growth. A rapid pace of innovation and investment into new technologies are just as necessary as the further internationalization of our markets," said Sonnenbatterie CEO Christoph Ostermann. "We are very pleased to have a partner like Inven Capital on our side who is not only supporting our course in Europe and in the US but also recognizes the immense importance of renewable energy."

Sonnenbatterie's other investors include eCapital, Munich Venture Partners (MVP) and SET Ventures.
