Solar Promotion International is expanding its Intersolar event series with the new global Intersolar Summits conference program.
In addition to the existing Intersolar exhibitions and conferences in Europe, the U.S., India, China and South America, Intersolar is launching Intersolar Summits in the United States, Mexico and Chile in the first half of 2014, Solar Promotion International CEO Markus Elsässer told pv magazine.
New summits will take place in New Jersey and Arizona, two of the leading U.S. states in terms of cumulative installed solar capacity.
The first Intersolar Summit actually took place in Brazil back in 2012 and the event has since expanded into Intersolar South America, which now includes its own exhibition and conference.
Elsässer said the new summits would provide solar industry companies and their partners new ways of accessing the market.
In contrast to the large international Intersolar conferences, the Intersolar Summits will have around 200 to 300 attendees who wish to find out detailed information about their respective markets and forge new contacts. Up to 15 companies from within the solar industry and their partners will be invited to each summit, where they will be able to engage with the organizers on site.
Intersolar will work with local organizations and trade associations at the various event locations, including the Greater Phoenix Economic Council in Phoenix, Arizona, the Mid Atlantic Solar Energy Association in Bordentown, New Jersey; the Arizona Solar Energy Industries Association (AriSEIA) and the New York Solar Energy Society (NYSES).
The first Intersolar Summits event takes place in New Jersey on March 20, followed by Arizona on April 8, Mexico on May 15 and Chile on June 19.
