Berlin-based solar module manufacturer Solon Energy is on course to install Bucharest's largest rooftop system in just seven weeks.
Solon is set to complete the installation of 8,800 of its Solon 220/16 modules on the roof of a logistics center by the end of the month.
The 2.2 MW system is set to generate 2.8 MWh annually with up to 15% of the energy produced consumed on site by companies based in the center and the rest fed into the Romanian grid in return for green certificates.
The center is owned by Romanian PV installer SC Atwar & TH Services, which was founded by logistics company Elcyrom Realty & Development.
