Canadian Solar and Strata Solar have announced they expect to complete construction of the fourth solar plant of a 15-project portfolio in North Carolina within days.
The panel maker and North Carolina-based turnkey developer Strata connected the 6.4 MW Fuquay Farm project in Wake County in March 2013 four months after breaking ground and recently finished construction of the Lenoir 1 and Lenoir 2 projects.
The two Lenoir plants, together with Wilson 1 the first of two Wilson schemes add up to a further 18 MW with another 11 projects set to complete an 85 MW portfolio in the U.S. state.
Lenoir 1 and 2 and Wilson 1 have been developed with 40,608 of Canadian Solar's CS6P-P 245 W panels and 19,896 of the Chinese manufacturer's 250 W panels.
