The Chinese solar company has ordered 45 of Satcons Equinox 500 kilowatt inverters, worth 22.5 MW, over 1,900 Solstice subcombiners, 680 Smart subcombiners and 64 medium voltage transformers. The equipment will reportedly be used towards a 76 MW photovoltaic plant in the Caribbean.
"Weve seen demand for solar PV continue to grow in the Americas over the last two years. First with commercial systems and most recently in large utility-scale power plants," commented Pete DeGraff, executive VP of worldwide sales, services and marketing for Satcon.
