Siemens receives 25 MW worth of PV plant orders

Under the new contracts, Siemens will install six photovoltaic power plants with a total capacity of 16.7 MWp in the Marche, Lazio, Umbria and Puglia regions of Italy . It was not disclosed how much the orders are worth.

A spokesperson for the company did tell pv magazine, however, that construction has already begun. They also identified the customers as TEI Energy S.p.A., Sacci S.p.A., Energia S.p.A., Viridis Energia, the Casillo group and the Ascopiave group.

Meanwhile, in France, Martinique and Guadeloupe, the electronics giant has been commissioned by Sun Development to install nine photovoltaic systems worth a total of eight MWp. In a statement, it says they should be online by the end of the year.

For all the projects, Siemens will act as the EPC contractor, responsible for turnkey construction, engineering and project management. Furthermore, for the Martinique systems, it will deliver service and maintenance.
