DEGERenergie opens up Croatian solar market

Share

Solektra d.o.o. has put the first DEGERenergie systems into operation a few weeks ago in Križopotje, in the province of Medjimurje in North Croatia. The 30kW facility consists of four systems of type DEGERtraker 7000NT. In Croatia, mainly smaller solar projects with an output of up to 30 kW receive subsidies in the form of higher feed-in tariffs. Currently, Solektra is planning another seven 30 kW projects with DEGERenergie systems.

Goran Oreški, chief executive officer of Solektra said, "We are expecting a considerable increase in the number of photovoltaic facilities as early as this fall. So far, the total capacity of all systems in Croatia together is approximately one megawatt only. For 2012, we are expecting a strong growth on the market, with smaller facilities and systems integrated into buildings prevailing."
