The usual trapezoidal sheet metal shoes have to be specially produced for each corrugation size. The new model is fastened with two self-drilling screws and can accept assembly profiles and complete systems. An EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer rubber) tape, already fastened to the shoe, seals the roof and the resulting holes.
The shoe can be used for trapezoidal sheet angled between 30 and 84 degrees. No matter what the width of the corrugations, this stainless steel plate component can be used for arrays mounted either parallel with the roof or on standoffs. The system can be supplied as a component or as an assembly kit. The kit consists of two fasteners with EPDM tape, four self-drilling screws, and a standard 450-millimeter rail by Altec Solartechnik.
