The production equipment will reportedly be incorporated into South Korea-based OCIs new 20,000 metric ton Phase 4 production facility.
Construction on the facility is expected to be completed by the forth quarter of 2012. When fully operational, OCIs total polysilicon production capacity should reach around 62,000 metric tons annually.
GT Solar says its equipment includes CVD reactors, in addition to a full range of technology including hydrochlorination, filament and product processing equipment.
