To supply Samsung, Germany-based SMA will establish its first industrial inverter manufacturing facility in Canada. These will reportedly complement the company's Ontario-made residential inverters used in smaller solar projects.

"Canada is a very important market for Samsung and we support the province's commitment to green energy and related industries. We are pleased to have reached an agreement with SMA to build solar inverters to serve the growing solar power generation market in Ontario, Canada and North America," commented Cheol-Woo Lee, senior executive vice president, Samsung C&T Corp.
