Headquartered in Treviso, near Venice, the company says the office will serve as the hub of its various projects throughout the country.
Strengthened by a national feed-in tariff, the Italian solar PV market has shown exceptional growth in recent years and was a clear choice for Upsolars expansion. Our newly established facility will allow Upsolar to provide Italian customers with the service for which Upsolar has begun to build a name, commented Enrico Carniato, Upsolar Italia general manager.
Representing its first project, Upsolar Italia provided polycrystalline PV modules for the Alessandria project, which is the first solar undertaking for Ansaldo T&D, a Genoa-based engineering and contracting company. It has been said that the project is one of the largest installations in the region.
Embarking on our first venture into the solar arena especially with a project of this magnitude we recognized the importance of partnering with a reliable module producer, Massimo Ceroni, Ansaldo T&D sales and marketing manager, said. Upsolars high-quality polycrystalline modules are ideally suited to large PV power stations like the Alessandria park, and the support provided by their attentive team allowed for a seamless entry into the burgeoning Italian solar market. We look forward to additional collaborations in the future.
