Swiss-based specialty chemicals company Sika, will be overseeing the sealing and bonding supply from May National Associates in North America. This acquisition is set to expand Sika's presence in the sealing and bonding sector and enable the company to build up its silicone sealants offering, especially for the growing solar and façade markets in North America. May National, located in Lakewood, New Jersey, has an annual sales revenue of approximately US$20 million and 60 employees.

After the successful acquisition and rollout of its engineered silicones business in Europe (since 2004), Sika can now build a strong silicone footprint in North America and expand its global silicone technology and know-how to this important region. The May National management team will remain and the company, founded in 1984 will operate as a Sika Corporation subsidiary.
