A total investment of RMB 2.8 billion has reportedly been planned to develop the PV integration system, which the company has said will have an annual PV module production output of RMB20 billion with tax contribution of not less than RMB0.3 billion.

The first phase of the project is expected to begin commercial production in first quarter of next year, with annual PV module production capacity of 100 megawatts (MW), and PV mounting system production capacity of 300 MW.

"Our expansion plan is to have total annual module production capacity of one GW in five years, using state-of-the-art technology of polycrystalline PV cell," commented CEO, Mr. Benson Wu. "By then, Wellkey will be able to offer a one stop solution to the system integrators with its PV modules and mounting system."

He continued: "We are proud to be able to work with Sanshui government, which has the vision of developing green energy industry as its future pillar support for local economy, and which offers strong administrative and financial support to renewable energy companies."
