Solar Energy Systems, LLC, Greenpoint Energy Partners, and the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) partnered with Broadway Stages to install the system, which is projected to produce thirty-two percent of the company's power needs annually.

NYSERDA president and CEO Francis J. Murray commented: "Film production is an energy intensive industry, and I commend Broadway Stages for its commitment to using clean, renewable energy that will reduce its environmental impact. This project represents an important contribution to our efforts to create a more sustainable future for our state and to meet the ambitious energy reduction goals set by Governor David Paterson."

Gina Argento, President of Broadway Stages added: "For Broadway Stages, this solar project demonstrates our commitment to the film industry and to the people of Greenpoint, Brooklyn. We are proud to build an energy infrastructure project that provides a long term benefit to our neighborhood."

Broadway Stages, the site for production of feature films, television series, commercials and music videos, received nearly USD$900,000 in financial incentives from NYSERDA for this project.
